CATHELIJNE KIWITZ

RICHARD VELDBOER

Richard graduated in Sportstudies at Windesheim. During his studies he developed a passion for outdoor and worked for several outdoor companies throughout his college time. This experience, combined with his drive and the conviction that he could offer something better and more professional, resulted in establishing Lifestyle Adventures in 1990. Initially an organisation that offered outdoor/teambuilding activities to companies. PriceWaterhouseCoopers, DSM, Nashuatec and UWV were among his first clients.
His eagerness to develop himself, and his company, resulted in becoming a (DISC) trainer, supervisor, coach, mediator and obtaining a master in conflict management (MCM).

Richard has an eye for creating opportunities for young talent. With this, and his extensive experience in all kinds of outdoor-activities all over Europe, he creates an amazing platform for exclusive leadership- and team development. His approach is best described as creative,
After being introduced to Youth at Risk in 1992, his take on outdoor slowly changed. Youth at Risk combines outdoor activities with coaching and personal development in their programs for problem-youngsters, and he was seized by the strength of this combination immediately. Unorthodox, humorous, peaceful, practical and problem-solving.
Besides Lifestyle Adventures he currently teaches at Sportstudies and other schools at Hanze University Groningen.

CATHELIJNE KIWITZ

After studying account management and Business Psychology, Cathelijne started her career in the temp agency world (reintegration, recruitment and selection).

This is where she developed her expertise in creating opportunities for and guiding (young) people. Throughout her career, Cathelijne had the opportunity to get close insight in how businesses – varying from big corporate or industrial organisations to small/medium businesses – face challenges in dealing with Human Capital. To her dissatisfaction, a lot
of human potential seemed wasted.

Cathelijne’s interest in human potential was also expressed through her love for (career)coaching. After obtaining her diploma at The Coach Academy and Adviesbureau Hoogendijk she started coaching people on a daily basis. Her strength is her focus on someone’s drive and dreams, while guiding them towards realizing their goals.

Driven as she is, her next goal was to
become a trainer in professional- and personal development. By now she is an experienced Vitality- and Communication Trainer and gained a broad experience in team (coaching) and development, group dynamics and in providing trainings in communication, leadership, teambuilding over the years.

Her strong coaching and training skills, together with her sharpness, determination, and result-oriented approach makes her an inspiring professional in the field of personal development. But above all, her ability to connect with people, her enthusiasm, energy and openness make her fun to work with.

Cathelijne has a broad experience in giving trainings in leadership, teambuilding, vitality programs and (team)coaching. Since 2012 Cathelijne supported Lifestyle Adventures behind the scenes, but as of 2017 she became a partner.

OUR STORY

The journey of Lifestyle Adventures starts over 30 years ago. During my study at Windesheim (ALO) I developed a passion for outdoor activities, which resulted in establishing Lifestyle Adventures in 1990.

It really all started with one simple question: “How can I do this better and more professional while I am having a great time and create strong, authentic connections between people who work together?” Call it “the right place, right time”, or maybe just “the right combination of hard work and luck”, but things took off quickly from there. And the more I got into the field of outdoor training, the more fun it became.

Over years, Lifestyle Adventures evolved from a company in outdoor activities to a company providing quality trainings, with outdoors as a means. As I realised that in outdoor activities the primary behaviour of people comes to the surface directly.

Being in nature challenges people and unveils their latent potential. This creates the perfect platform for growth and development.

Lifestyle Adventures started providing programs to companies like PriceWaterhouseCoopers, DSM, Nashuatec, UWV, Elektrabel, education (ROC/HBO), consultancy, police and army divisions. It was through one of Lifestyle Adventures’ assignments that I met Cathelijne in 2011. I immediately noticed her extensive experience and interest in personal development and coaching. Our shared vision on leadership and development opened the opportunity to cooperate together.

This diverse background, broad experience and passion turned out to be the perfect formula for developing new programs together and taking Lifestyle Adventures to the next level. At Lifestyle Adventures we focus on Integrity, Connection, Cooperation, Service and Results in all that we do.

The unique and high-quality programs of Lifestyle Adventures, created to empower performances both personally and professionally, will create a lasting difference in people’s life and their companies.
